We
had a wonderful time in Krakow and the B&B was perfect! Also,
thanks for arranging a driver to take us to Tarnobrzeg.

We have just returned from our four night break in Krakow, our stay
in the 1st Bed and Breakfast situated at the foot of Wawal Castle
was a perfect location. Ryszard was there to meet us at the airport
which was a great help as we had not visited the city before and
certaintly would have struggled with the language! An extremely
friendly Ela met us at the door and showed us the apartment which
although basic was really clean and comfortable excellent value. It
was quite late when we arrived but a short walk towards the Castle
led us to a bar which provided us with a late supper and of course
piwo. Planty Park (opposite to the apartment building and
encirculing the old town) enabled us to walk to the city centre in
just 10 minutes and was a lovely place to just sit and watch the
world go by. All in all we had a fantastic time, interesting places
to visit and loads of reasonable places to eat, not to mention the
friendly people. Thanks to
Ryszard and Ela for their hospitality.Caroline and David,

We thought we would
write with our comments on our trip to Krakow. We had a really good
time and thought Krakow was a wonderful, vibrant city with lots to
do and see. We went on a bike tour which we would thoroughly
recommend and we did the other customary tourist sites. We wished
the weather had been a bit sunnier, but at least it didn't rain too
much and it certainly didn't interfere with our enjoyment.Ryszard was at the
airport to meet us and also took us back for our return trip to the
UK. Ela was there to greet us on arrival and showed us the
apartment, etc. The apartment was clean and tidy and perfectly
adequate for our stay - if you are not expecting luxury. The
location is excellent and central for all the sites - and we were
surprised to learn that Schlinder's flat was just two doors down at
number 7 (?). Although the flat was situated on a fairly busy road
it was extremely quiet in the apartment and it was good to have the
park just across the road. Ela was very efficient at calling
the electrician in when there was a problem with the kitchen light
fitting. The problem recurred but as it was towards the end of our
trip we asked Ela to arrange for further repair following our stay.
The heating was effective (and needed!) and the bathroom was
excellent. We liked being on the ground floor as after a day's
sight-seeing it wouldn't have gone down well if we had to climb a
lot of stairs. We would certainly recommend you to friends and
family.
Thanks you and we hope
you have many more visitors.

Dear Marian,
We just got back from a lovely time in Krakow. We
want to thank Ela for her hospitality.
The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and there
was more than enough food in the refrigerator for each day's
breakfast.
The hotel was in a great location. It was very easy to
get to the market and the castle. Transportation costs to and from
the airport was very reasonable. We rode the bus into the city and
took a minivan back.
We would recommend the hotel for anyone on a budget
who wants a nice clean room and central location.
Best Regards,
Mark
Dear Marian
My daughter and I have just returned from Poland.
We both want to thank you for the wonderful accommodations at your B &
B. The
location was so convenient, the rooms spacious, and Ela and Ryszard
were superb!
They went way above the call of duty to make our stay pleasant.
We really appreciate their help and hospitality.
We would recommend your B & B to everyone visiting Krakow.

| I had just spent 9 nights in this lovely 1st bed and
breakfast in Krakow. The room was large, sunny, comfortable, well
furnished, with well equipped kitchen. Just like being at home. A
satellite TV with 100's channels. Warm & Charming.
Very comfortable beds and what
a bathroom with shower. Everything spotless clean. Fresh rolls
delivered to my room every morning. The fridge had all I need for
breakfast and more. Lovely view of the snowy Planty, the park
surrounding the Main Ancient Square of Krakow. Two minutes from the
center across the park. Reasonable rates. What else can a body need
in lovely, snowy February in a Krakow where there are almost no
tourists and the city is all yours?"

Marian,
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your request to evaluate our stay in Krakow. We had a very enjoyable experience there, although it was about two days too short! We had a great time at your bed and breakfast and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. We enjoyed our time in Krakow every bit as much as our stay in Prague. The caretakers were nice people. The taxi driver from the train station had a little trouble finding the right address but other than that minor detail we couldn't find anything to complain about. Being somewhat on the "conservative" side I found the prices on everything to be much more palatable than in Prague. Thanks for your interest and help

Dear Marian Keren,
I returned home from Krakow, Poland on Monday. Just wanted to say Thanks. The bed and breakfast arrangement was most satisfactory. Mr. & Mrs. Ryszard and Ella were splendid hosts, and the room they provided was both comfortable and clean. The refrigerator was just brimming with breakfast foods, and freshly baked bread was provided every morning. It was a most pleasant stay. We were able to visit the Mercy Shrine of Saint Faustina; the salt mines; the Market Square; the Wavel Castle : all of which were located very near to the bed and breakfast home in which we stayed.

Hi Marian,
I've just returned from Krakow and I had a wonderful time. The landlady and her husband were brilliant. Auschwitz, however, has left me traumatized. I will never forget it. Thanks for an excellent hotel.I really felt at home during my short stay there. Best wishes.

Marian,
Now that we are, finally, back in the UK, just to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Krakow, and at the apartment. Please convey our thanks and best wishes to Ela who made our stay very comfortable. It is likely that two of us shall be returning to Krakow sometime in November, so we shall keep you in mind.

I enjoyed the accommodations very much: good location, comfortable, and very clean facility. Ela provided plenty of delicious breakfast food and delivered fresh rolls every day. She and her husband were very cordial and helpful.

Hi Marian,
We are back home safe and sound and want to tell you how much we enjoyed the arrangements we had in Poland. We walked everywhere, sometimes a couple of times to the square in one day as it is so convenient. We also enjoyed the fact that you stocked the fridge. It is always nice to have good European food and we want to especially thank our "bakery elf." That was above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks again.

Mr. Keren -
We had a great time in Krakow. The day we visited Wawel, the castle closed early and we were only able to visit the cathedral and the dragon's den, but since we were so close, we managed to get there another morning for the castle tour. The apartment with the private bathroom worked great. It was spacious enough for all of us and your manager delivered more fresh bulk than we could eat!

Marian Keren,
Our stay at the Krakow Bed and Breakfast was very enjoyable. The hosts were kind and helpful, the room was exceptionally nice, and the location was convenient for sightseeing. Our room was completely remodeled (with a kitchen), including the bathroom and shower. We recommend this room for anyone traveling to Krakow. The offstreet parking was not inexpensive, but it was certainly worth the price. There was 24 hour security, including a dog. We were confident our vehicle was safe and secure. There was also a car wash stall. Thanks for coordinating with us.

| This was a really pleasant place to stay in Krakow- a home away from home. All facilities were very good and the proximity to everything was a definite bonus - very easy to walk to all the main attractions and very close to the Market Square and Castle.Ela and Richard were very helpful and Sophie (next door) spoke wonderful English. We recommend this B&B highly and would certainly stay there again.

This is an ideal situation especially for the tourist new to Poland. It is centrally located, minutes away from the concert hall, the university, the castle, the market, major museums, historical districts. You don't need fancy - need neat, practical, convenient. This is it. And more - you're not dependent on anyone for when, where and what to eat - the kitchenette facilities have it all. The innkeepers have thought of just about everything the building is wonderfully old, the facilities modern and the occasional neighbors you may meet, most helpful.

This an ideal location and wise choice for the discerning tourist who wants a neat, clean base to call home. The kitchenette is all you'll need. Why spend money on fancy / shamancy insides when what you should be doing is running around town taking in the museums, concert halls, university, side streets and cafes -the innkeepers are most accommodating, all major services are provided, the beds are comfy and the three-key entrance will probably make you feel safer than you would back in the states.
~Okoska and consort |
We had a very pleasant stay in lovely and comfortable accommodations with lots of light and a great view of the park. Excellent care was provided by the innkeeper. Should I have the opportunity to come again, I would definitely choose to stay there again, especially since the B&B is so centrally located.
